The Menswear Shop unlocks during the main story line of the game and will become available around Stylist Rank 28 (this is the time it unlocked for myself). The shop is managed by Xiaobai who appears at your boutique during the main story line. You need to follow him to the Menswear Shop to hear his story about his dreams and inspiration to open the shop. It will take some time for the shop to officially open and you just need to wait until Johann appears at your boutique as you need to redirect him to the Menswear Shop. Head over there to help him pick out an outfit and after this, you will direct a few more male customers from your boutique to the Menswear Shop and pick out new outfits for them. Once you have successfully served three customers at the Menswear Shop, you will now be able to work there all the time and customers will appear.

One important thing to note about the Menswear Shop is that you do earn money for working there, it just doesn't show as an amount at the end. The money goes straight to your money in-game and it's a great place to work as male customers tend to spend more than female customers and will request full outfits most of the time. There is also an award for serving 10 customers at the Menswear Shop which is pretty easy to achieve.
The men's fashion items featuring a variety of items and many accessories unique to male characters. The selection of items is smaller than the ones available for female characters, but there is selection of fashionable pieces to choose from. Men's fashion items fall under the following categories:
- Inners
- Tops
- Outers
- Trousers
- Yukatas/Dungarees
- Socks
- Shoes
- Gloves
- Watches/Bracelets
- Necklaces/Ties
- Scarves
- Glasses/Sunglasses
- Headwear
The following styles are available for men's fashion items: eastern, basic, casual, bold, chic, rock, preppy & boho-chic. Only five brands are available at the Menswear Shop and these include:
- Kanokoi - Eastern inspired fashion pieces.
- Basic U - Simple and comfortable items.
- Helion - Contemporary fashion featuring casual styled items.
- Dept. 9 - The bold fashion brand for men featuring street style inspired clothing.
- Markus & Corman - Classy and expensive items for the sophisticated gentleman.

Customers will appear at the Menswear Shop the same way as other shops with the customers displayed on the bottom 3DS screen. Select a customer to talk to them and they will give you the run down on the type of outfit they are after. Once you have listened to the customer, the bottom 3DS screen will bring up two options: Leave this to me! or Sorry. You cannot stock up like at your boutique instead just being able to accept or reject requests.
