New Years Day

New Years Day appears in Style Boutique once again, however the holiday is not as celebrated as it was in Fashion Forward. There are no longer any New Years Day themed events with NPC's to encounter. The only aspect of the game that celebrates New Years Day is the greetings from the brand representatives at the Exhibition Hall.

Once January 1st comes along in the game, head over to the Exhibition Hall and talk to each brand representative. They will greet you with a special new year message and thank you for your custom over the past year. They will ask you to continue shopping at their brand during the new year. No other New Years Day greetings appear in the game from other NPC's.

Nail Designs - Feminine

There is an exciting new feature in Style Boutique 3 that allows you to paint your nails in a range of unique and colourful designs. You can get your nails done at the Beautician and any sets you have purchased can be used at your apartment. At the beautician you can also help customers pick a nail design to suit their outfit. Head to the beautician and talk to Lorelei to get a set of new nails. She will ask what type of nails you would like and the nail selection screen will appear. You can only purchase one design at a time and must re-enter the nail screen to purchase more designs. Please refer to the Nail Designs Page for all the designs available in Styling Star.

Christmas

Christmas appears in Style Boutique once again, however the holiday is not as celebrated as it was in Fashion Forward. There are some Christmas greetings that appear and special Christmas themed miniatures and clothing items to collect. Some of the Christmas DLC Items that previously appeared in Fashion Forward are not included in Styling Star.

Once December 25th comes along in the game, special holiday themed music will play at the start of the day. If you head over to the Exhibition Hall, the brand representatives will greet you with a Christmas message and tell you how you can use their brand items to celebrate the holiday. No other Christmas greetings appear in the game and there are no holiday decorations around the city.

Nails are a new addition to the game series and two special Christmas themed designs have been included in the game. The Happy Christmas and White Christmas designs can be found under the Lively Nails Designs category. All the nail designs can be purchased from Lorelei at the Beautician.

The Festive & Christmas clothing sets are available once more from Purple Moon. The Festive set features a 5-piece clothing set and is available in five colours. The Christmas Set features a top, skirt and hairband (the hairband comes in 6 colours whilst the top and skirt only come in 5).

Amiibo - Ribbon Tote Bag & Style Boutique Emblem

Style Boutique 3 has amiibo compatibility and unlocks special designs for your character to wear. In this game, amiibos unlock emblems and design items that are unique to the amiibo character. Certain amiibo figures unlock certain content and this guide will look at the Ribbon Tote Bag and the Style Boutique Emblem which can be unlocked with any Nintendo amiibo that is not associated with the character/series specific amiibo designs.

To scan an amiibo into the game, open the phone menu and select the amiibo app. Make sure that you have the internet/online switched on. You will need either a New Nintendo 3DS/2DS with the built in NFC reader or a separate NFC Reader from Nintendo. Turn the NFC reader on if you are using the stand-alone one. Place the amiibo on the 3DS or NFC reader and the game will ask to scan it in. Once you have successfully scanned the amiibo into the game, you can either close the amiibo app or scan in more amiibos. Go to your apartment and select the Design option to access the content unlocked by the amiibo.

The Ribbon Tote bag and Style Boutique emblem will unlock if you scan any Nintendo amiibo that is not associated with the character/series specific amiibo designs. For example, the Mario series amiibos unlock the Mario content. This means the Mario amiibos will only unlock those designs and emblems. If you scan in a Pikachu or Zero Suit Samus amiibo, they will unlock the Ribbon Tote Bag and emblem as they are not linked to a character specific item. This means that all amiibos from Nintendo are compatible with the game. Scanning the amiibo will unlock the Style Boutique emblem which features the famous shoe logo from the game series. You can add this emblem to various design items or to shopping bags.

The Ribbon Tote Bag features three designs: Simple Ribbon, Lace Ribbon and Polka Dot Ribbon. Select the bag option from the design menu and you will see the base Ribbon Tote bag. Select this and the three options for the bag design will appear. You can recolour the bag and emblem designs to any colour using the design feature.

Brands - Chorale

There are a variety of brands featured in Style Boutique 3/Style Savvy 4 that cater to all tastes in fashion. One of the brands is Chorale which focuses on feminine and elegant fashion. The game lists the following description for the brand "A brand known for its elegant feminine designs. Its sister brand Chorale Prelude sells purses and bags". 

Chorale's main image is Feminine and clothing items in the brand also fall under the following images: basic, girly, psychedelic, boho-chic, gothic, baby-doll, bold, chic and preppy. Aisling returns as the brand representative for Chorale in Styling Star. For the Chorale brand, each section of clothing contains the following amount of items:

The Luigi amiibo's unlock a Luigi emblem and two Luigi bag designs. The emblem features the symbol of Luigi's face and details his famous green hat and moustache. You can add this emblem to various design items or to shopping bags.

The Luigi bag features two designs: Luigi plain and Luigi Brick. Select the bag option from the design menu and you will see the base Luigi bag. Select this and the two options for the bag design will appear. You can recolour the bag and emblem designs to any colour using the design feature.
