May Poll Results - Favourite Shopdo Activity

May is over for another year and last months poll has come to a close! The question for this month was 'What's your favourite activity in Shopdo?' There was a slight issue with the Poll Widget this month on Blogger so some readers may not have been able to vote. It seems Blogger has removed the Polls Widget completely so this is the final poll on this blog sadly.

So the results are in on what players favourite activity to do on Shopdo is and the results are:
1st = Updated My Outfits & Buying Outfits
2nd = Visiting Other Shopdos
3th = Going Crazy With Likes
4th = Taking Photos With Other Players

Outfits seem to be the most popular feature on Shopdo and I totally agree as it's a great feature that allows you to be creative with outfit designs. It's fun to visit other player's Shopdo's and see their creations. Visiting other player's Shopdo's is a fun activity as well and I especially like doing it so I can see the wonderful interiors player's create. Most players seem to update their Shopdo at least once a week, so be sure to check back on your favourite boutiques! Leave your Shopdo ID code in the comments of the Shopdo ID Database if you would like to me to add it to the list. I updated my Shopdo every Monday and blog about it on my personal blog Marzipan Wonderland. As I mentioned before, Blogger removed the Poll Widget from the website. So I can no longer add polls to this blog or the Style Boutique 2 Guide blog. It's a shame that the feature was removed as I loved adding the polls as a fun little activity for readers. Nothing has been added to replace the features, so I don't think I'll be continuing with the polls for now. Another thing that was changed during Blogger's recent overhaul by Google is that you no longer receive emails when you receive a reply to your comment. So if you leave a comment, I'll try to respond as soon as possible and make sure to tick the 'notify me' box before posting your comment. You can also bookmark the page or check back on your comment to see if you've received a response.

April Poll Results - New Clothing Items

April is over for another year and last months poll has come to a close! The question for this month was 'What new clothing item do you love?' There was 86 votes in total and one of the results took out 50% of the vote!

So the results are in on what new clothing item is the favourite amongst players. The results are:
1st = Bracelets & Bangles
2nd = Headphones & Stage Costumes (Designer Item)
3th = Watches

It seems everyone was crazy for bracelets and bangles as they had 50% of the votes. Headphones was tied second with stage costumes with 22% each of the votes. Watches came in last place with 5% of the votes. I can understand why bracelets and bangles ranked so highly as they are the perfect item to spruce up an outfit. I thought headphones might have come first, but it seems people love bracelets and bangles. Now if only we could have rings in the game.

The new poll for May is 'What's your favourite activity in Shopdo?' To vote, simply scroll down the side bar and the poll is under the game box images. Tips For Making Money

It can be a bit tricky to earn money in Styling Star as there aren't too many methods that will earn money fast. Fast money making methods from the previous game Fashion Forward  were removed in the new game such as rent money from the Caprice Chalet and Designer Lounge commission requests. However there are still some useful methods you can use in Styling Star to earn money.

The best trick to earn money is the utilise the messenger system in the phone menu and invite Chic image customers to your boutique. These types of customers will have large budgets such as $10,000 or $30,000 and will spend the largest amount of money at the boutique out of all the styles/images. The picture below shows how I made $32,155 in one day by only serving three chic customers.

Here are the steps you can follow to make quick and easy cash in Styling Star:

Step 1

Stock up on items from Enid Chen and ARIANNA. Ensure you purchase the most expensive items from the brands as you will make a large profit back from selling them. Sales are a excellent time to stock up on items and make sure to use the restock app from the phone menu. The ideal items you should stock up on include:

Step 2
Open the messaging app and invite Chic customers to come to the boutique for a new outfit. You can invite three customers per day and you must have a decent amount of hearts with them to invite them to the boutique. You can check if a customer likes the chic image by checking their details for their favourite image. Here are examples of customers you can invite that love the chic image:

Step 3

Head over to the boutique at the time you stated for the customer to visit. Talk to them and they will ask for an outfit that you think suits them. When the selection screen appears, you will notice their budget is quite large. Open the search menu and select the following criteria: Enid Chen, ARIANNA, Chic, $300+ Price. Now select an outfit for them from items that belong to those search categories. Follow these handy tips when creating an outfit:

Shopdo

Style Boutique 3 has an exciting new feature that allows players to upload their boutique and outfits onto the internet for other to visit. This feature is called Shopdo and allows other players with the same game to virtually visit your boutique and purchase outfits you have created.

Shopdo can be accessed via the phone menu and requires an internet connection to use. When you select the Shopdo app, the game will inform you that your boutique, profile and Owner ID will be made public to other players. Your profile card can be edited via the Contacts App and displays basic information about your character. When enter the Shopdo app, there are four options available: My Shop Data, Recent, Search by Owner ID and Favourites. The top screen of the 3DS will display information about your shop and when you enter Shopdo, the game will tell you if you receive any new likes or favourites. Information about your Shopdo Boutique is displayed on the top 3DS screen. The information tells you how many personal likes you have received, how many likes your shop has received and how many likes your catalogue items have received. The total number of likes received is also displayed. Your Owner ID will be displayed on the top screen and other players can use this ID to search for your Shopdo Boutique.

Shopdo Menu

There is one important aspect to know when using Shopdo. The Shopdo feature (as well as Designer Lounge) are region-locked and you can only search for Owner ID's/visit boutiques that were uploaded in the same region as you. The following points detail what content you can access in regards to the region your game is:

• Style Boutique: Styling Star = Can only access Shopdo & Owner ID's from other players in the EUR/AUS region who are playing Style Boutique. Cannot access Style Savvy or Girls Mode players.
• Style Savvy: Styling Star = Can only access Shopdo & Owner ID's from other players in the NA region who are playing Style Savvy. Cannot access Style Boutique or Girls Mode players.
• Girls Mode 4: スター☆スタイリスト (Star☆Stylist) = Can only access Shopdo & Owner ID's from other players in the JPN region who are playing Girls Mode. Cannot access Style Boutique or Style Savvy players.

Some other Nintendo games such as Disney Magical World have this same region-locking feature. If you search for a Shopdo Owner ID of a player in a different region to you, the game will display 'Not Found' after searching. This region-locking with Shopdo was discovered when blog readers were unable to search for my Owner ID. I attempted to search for some Style Savvy players Owner ID's and encountered the 'not found' message. I also attempted to look up some Japanese players with no success but I could successfully search for European players. It is confusing at why Nintendo decided to region lock the online content as in the previous game (Fashion Forward), you could download Caprice Chalet rooms from players from all regions. It is a shame that you cannot visit players from around the world now as it cuts out a lot of content from the game and prevents players from sharing their boutiques and designs with others.

My Shop Data
Here you can edit your catalogue and check your registration information. Select Update Shop Data and the game will update to reflect the latest look of your boutique and items in the catalogue. Select edit catalogue to see the three outfits that you have for sale on your Shopdo boutique. You can design three outfits to display in the catalogue and when players visit your Shopdo Boutique, they can purchase these outfits. You can give the outfit a name and you can choose from all the items in your personal wardrobe excluding designer items.

Shopdo - Owner ID Database

To search for a Owner ID, select the Search By Owner ID option and enter the ID code using the number pad on the bottom 3DS screen. You can only search for Owner ID's in the same region as you and if you try searching for one in a different region, the game will display a 'not found' message.
