Birthdays

On the Nintendo 3DS system, you can set your birthday in the system settings and when you play certain games, your birthday will be celebrated in-game. This feature is available in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star. When the day of your birthday comes in the game, a present icon will be shown on the start of the day along with any other activities you have scheduled.

You will receive a special text message from Uncle Tim. He will wish you a Happy Birthday and reminisce about when you were younger.

Once you leave your apartment for the day and head to different locations, the main idol girls will appear to wish you a Happy Birthday. The girls will talk about how you have made a difference in people's lives and made the city a better place. You will receive a miniature from each girl which is just a standard miscellaneous miniature item. For example, I received a Large Treasure Chest item from Alina which you can also buy from the Lifestyle Shop.



If you head over to the Exhibition Hall, the brand representatives will wish you a Happy Birthday if you visit their brand. This same event occurred in Fashion Forward and will occur on some special holidays in game such as Halloween. There are no special birthday story lines in Styling Star like the ones that previously appeared in Fashion Forward where you could visit locations with NPC's and see a special birthday themed event.

    There's not much to birthdays in Style Boutique 3. Shop owners, such as Cece and Pippa, don't even know that it's your BIRTHDAY:( I visited the shops around town and yet no one wished me a Happy Birthday. Pretty much unfair.

      The birthdays are incredibly boring in the game, I was surprised at how little the content was compared to Fashion Forward. I guess without all the additional story lines NPC had were they would talk to you at locations, the developers couldn't be bothered putting in birthday events. At least you get a miniature from some of the main characters, more than most holidays in the game.

      Agreed. They are, like, REALLY REALLY boring. If the game developers start making another Style Boutique game, I've got my fingers crossed that birthdays will by as fun as Fashion Forward birthdays were.

      Yes Styling Star is pretty boring since they removed all the challenging parts like fashion shows and unlocking things. I'm not crossing my fingers for another game as the last one wasn't hugely successful and felt like the developers just pushed something out quick with most of the content removed.

    I don't even remember getting anything in-game on my birthday other than the brand messages. I don't remember receiving a text or having encounters with the main three girls at all.

      You have to travel around to get the messages, I got them just by leaving my apartment or boutique throughout different times of the day.
